For many of us, music is a pastime. For rising Rapper AJ BGE, music is a lifeline. At 21 years old AJ BGE has emerged from his hometown Buffalo, NY a city known for its toughness, as a shining light with an “all gas, no brakes'' mentality.


“The city of Buffalo helped me to become who I am,” says AJ BGE, when speaking about the importance of his community and family. While matriculating through his teen years and growing accustomed to street life around him, AJ developed his skill for writing music and began recording his experiences around 2018. He accredits his label Money Set, as well as his family Yung Fetti and Hoodstar Jack, for helping to develop his smooth and melodic rap style. 


AJ BGE released his first single in 2020 titled “Straight Drop” featuring Yung Fetti, followed by the singles “Quarantine Vibez”, “Racks In”, and “Life’s A Bitch” which were all supported by visuals and amassed a heavy regional buzz. AJ was also featured on Yung Fetti’s “Free the Guys” and “Quarter Key”. All releases have collectively garnered over 75,000 total plays across all platforms.


“You gotta make the dream happen,” says AJ BGE on his mindset when it comes to his work ethic. “You have to make your own way. If you want it, you gotta go get it”.


AJ BGE has performed as an opening act for artists such as Rick Ross, Jim Jones, YFN Lucci and Latto. When discussing artists who have influenced his music, AJ BGE mentions notable artists Lil Baby, Lil Durk, NBA Youngboy, and Ralo.


In addition to his emerging career as a rapper, AJ wants to be known for much more than the music.


“My main goal is to become a self-sustained entrepreneur. ” says AJ BGE. “In addition to that, I want to help my younger sisters by creating businesses for them and showing them a life outside of Buffalo.”
